A whole lot of (carbs) dough
It's 3 a.m. and the only saving grace is that I'm writing this while on my week off. Cooking and baking is a passion. And since I am a runner, I love carbs. Rice, potatoes, pasta and BREAD! So my latest breadmaking (making a sponge starter) started at 11 a.m. and just finished 5 minutes ago so I can make sandwiches and other yummy stuff for R. and I. (Pictured here are two baguettes, a boule -- the scoring marks are bad, I need a razor -- and two mini baguettes.. forget what they're called).
Now I can dream of possible sandwich combos.. I'm thinking hummus, tomatoes, arugula, grainy mustard to start off with...

mmmm, looks really good.
Wow this bread looks amazing!! I hope you enjoys every piece of it!!
As my mom would say: "you're good to marry!" (in French: T'es bon à marier!) lol
the yumwich: french baguette filled with piles of salty pastrami, peppery arugula, aged cheddar cheese, tomato, roasted yellow pepper and grilled zucchini...
Carbs are nemesis!
hehe.. thanks for the comments everyone.
sonia, yes, made a few sandwiches, one of which Jelly got, courtesy of R. who works with her.
annette, patience yes, but the yeast (and the oven) does most of the work.
Jellyp, your sandwich had the following: honey mustard (the fancy kind), hummus, tzazki sauce, caramlized onions, peppers, zuchini, arugula, tomatoes, cheddar and montreal smoked meat... i'm hungry now
And running rabbit, i can't live without my carbs, who can?!?
oh ya, and frankie was jealous. or at least a little disappointed that he didn't get carbed by you! :)
