Back into it...

Started work a bit later than usual today, so took advantage and went out there for a 7 a.m. run. Was nice to get out there while it's still bright outside. I know most weekday runs in the next five months will probably be done in darkness.

Ran 5K (3 miles) in 26:38 for average pace of 5:18 a K. Heart rate is still up and it feels like more work than it should. I'm going to take it easy, take tomorrow off, and resume running on Thursday. Want to try to save for a 8 to 10 miler on the weekend.

i love running early in the morning, cause it feels like you do something to start your day...however, I have a problem getting up too early so I'm usually out there running late. have fun getting back into it

Yes yes, this night running is going to be strange, my first runs post daylight savings time, it's like a different world. sigh.

Runnergirl, good call, breaks are good, so i'm just going to do laundry... hmm. rather be running?

Leah, i don't mind going out early in the middle of summer, but in the winter, not so much.. have to force myself out.. just remember that i feel good at the end. Bob, if i recall correctly, you actually have to run in the dark.. i can go by city lights :)

The darkness ain't so great, especially when there will be snow and ice on the ground. It could be worse though, we could be living north of the arctic circle.
