Are runners ninjas? Yes we are. Yes we are.

Very entertaining reading on the Runners World site today, where I saw their picks for Obama's cabinet. I was heartened to see that Sanjay Gupta, CNN/doctor/smartguy, is also a marathoner.

Anyhow, what caught my attention was the post, Are we runners, or ninjas?

Writes Mark Remy:
Is it just me, or are more and more runners dressing like ninjas?

You know what I'm talking about: the dressed-head-to-toe-in-black thing. Black tights. Black shirt or jacket. Black gloves. Black hat.

It seems that more and more runners are darting around dressed like this—even at night, or when visibility is very low. I think I've noticed half a dozen ninja runners just in the past couple of weeks.

And those are only the ones I can see.

So here's my contribution, a picture I took a few days ago in DC. OK, not totally black (jacket has a red part and I took the sleeves out of the jacket).

Now back to normal business: Ran 4 miles tonight.

I definitely look like a ninja when I run... too funny. I'm trying to incorporate more colour.
